I saw in today's paper where JKR equated reading the end first to eating pudding first. She doesn't like it at all.

Oh well!

I think we could do a spoiler topic now, as comments. The comments are hidden unless someone clicks on them. I'll go start one now.

You are braver than I am, L!

But that is one reason why I didn't want any spoilers, if it would spoil it for others.

Perhaps in a week or so we could have a spoiler topic.

I really enjoyed the book..And the fact that I didnt know the ending kept me at the edge of my seat.. I was sooo nervous throughout- thoroughly enjoyed the experience! (though i did find one or two incidents a bit contrived- esp towards the end)
I wish there had been more in the epilogue!

I gotta read the ending first just to know if I'm going to enjoy the book! If I hadn't liked the ending, I would have had that color the book all the way through. I'm bad, I know. Same for movies. I need to know the ending, especially for scary ones, even on movies I'd never see because they are scary. After I see the preview, I wanna know how it ends even if I'd never consider seeing it.

I know, that's what I want to do too, savor every word, so I'm finishing another book first, listening in on the Jim Dale reading that my 9 yo is listening to (last night she was on page 199)(she follows along with the book which makes it easier for her, some of the words are hard for her.)

11 yo hasn't begun it at all yet. She's in camp this week and will get to it next week, likely the JD version vs. reading it herself.

So far all of us who've read it are on the same page re the book. And we pretty much all agree on the epilogue.

It's hard to see an era come to an end!
