There is some spoiler content in this post.

I agree with Webster12, book 2 is not as good as book 1. I love Edward. But then again I love Angel from Buffy the television series and Jean-Claude and Asher from the Anita Blake book series written by LKH. I like vampires.

Jacob kind of gets on my nerves. He acts like he has a romantic claim (at least in the first 100 pages of book 3, which is as far as I've been able to get by stopping by book stores) when he does not and is possessive and antagonistic when he should not be and reminds me quite frankly a bit of Richard the werewolf king in Anita Blake novels.

Jacob seems to be heading down a destructive path and if he would reach out in a proper fashion instead of throwing Bella to Charlie by displaying the motorcycle in the front yard (and other assorted "If I can't have her, neither shall Edward" moves).

I really really want book 3!

I've read the first 2 and i'm almost done with the 3rd one. i actually did like the first book. and the choppy sentences are okay, i'm assuming it is meyer's style of writing. but the second book is not as good maybe because edward wasn't really there but regardless it still entertained me i like the pages where it say only the months...long story. I don't want to give you spoilers.
