[To recover:]
Talking lovingly to yourself, and your body, will also help. Beyond that, simply letting go of thinking and resting in the deep silence of your true self will speed your recovery. 4-23-07 Daily OM
I find I can rest my thinking when listening to music. I can enter into the music and leave my thoughts behind.
This quote was thought provoking to me. How often do we (do I) talk lovingly to ourselves? Be honest! Do we more often do some form of either rumination or trash talk?
I wondered what it might feel like to talk only lovingly to ourselves.
Want to give it a try? I bet it's not as easy as it seems, but would do us a world of good if we could develop the habit. Remember my quote from earlier?
Habit is God's way of making good automatic in your life. Robert Russell in You Try It
You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection. Buddha
