The power of music

I've spent the better part of my free moments when I first got my MP3 (now iPod) ripping more music into the format for my MP3, then deciding what to actually put into it.  It is really easy to subtract and add and so lovely that it is all my favorites...But I bought an iPod with enough space that it will take all the information, photos, and music that I have, and then some.

One day while playing music and getting dinner ready and served, my then 11 yo said something to the effect that it was very soothing and took out the stress.  I agreed with her. There's something about adding the harmony that music brings or the rhythms that get us moving.  We dance a lot. I'm trying to teach them to find the beat.

I'm listening to the album Jazz Moods: Latin Romance at the moment...I love all the songs, but especially Como Rien which has to be one of the loveliest songs ever written or sung.  I would love to have a translation, since I don't speak Spanish.  You can listen to a bit of the song at this same link.  I have another link that will allow you to listen to the whole song, but I can't find it at the moment.

Tonight I intend to listen to the music shuffle until I fall asleep.
