The power of gratitude (short film)

in Gratitude

Learning to Dance in the Rain is a short film from Simple Truths.

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow. Melody Beattie

I'm not sure it does all that, but it moves us in that direction.

I love the idea of dancing in the rain, not just for the image it evokes and the joys of splashing in puddles, but for the means of turning the rains in life to something more full, if seemingly empty.

The missing ingredient in life is gratitude! Thanks for sharing this post.

I think as we look for (or recognize) things to be grateful for, our lives become happier and fuller. Just as focusing on small negatives would seem to deplete us.
