Our Curves has changed their CDs, which I found out when I went this morning. Instead of saying ‘change’ or whatever it used to say between machines, there were affirmations that tell you it is time to change positions.

You are loving.
You are beautiful.
You are wealthy.
You are loyal, etc.
I can’t remember them all at this point.
And then the affirmations rotate through again.

My first thought was how different are our (my) ordinary thoughts about ourselves (myself) to ourselves (myself).

Then I couldn’t decide if I just wanted the voice to shut up, LOL. It got to be annoying. I wanted to argue back, which was counterproductive to the idea behind it. I think we can be positive about ourselves, but I don’t think we can make it happen simply by saying it is so.

I could think of some affirmations I’d have liked to hear, but didn’t.
