White Collar is a show that Book Girl and I love, but honestly I wish they wouldn't leave cliff hangers for the end of season. I'm gonna watch it anyway, unless Mozzie dies. Then I'd have to give it serious thought.

Last night's was a doozy. leaving Mozzie shot in the chest, passing out (or dying) -- if Mozzie dies, I will be very, very unhappy. He is one of the great characters of a TV show -- funny, articulate, loyal, quirky, knowledgeable, paranoid -- did I mention loyal! He is one of the reasons we watch this show.

The other reasons are the relationship between Peter and Neal; Diahann Carrol; that Neal brings humor and fun to Peter's single-mindedness; that Peter's wife believes Neal is her husband's friend; the loving relationship between Peter and his wife.

Here's the story for those who haven't watched it:
Neal Caffrey [Matt Bomer] is a thief, forger, con-man, you-name-it, and did I mention handsome! who is released from prison by Peter Burke (Mr. Suit) [Tim DeKay]the FBI agent who captured him (now twice) to help solve the difficult cases.

What Neal doesn't know, Mozzie [Willie Garson] can find out. Mozzie is Neal's friend and cohort in mischief and mayhem (and thievery) who helps Neal at every turn, and ends up helping the Suit (and Mrs. Suit [Tiffani Thiessen], as he calls Peter's wife.) He even braves going into the FBI office.

Kate is Neal's old gf, someone he loved, but who knows if she loved him or not. She is caught up in something, wants to know/have a music box that Neal supposedly took (but he didn't.) At the end of season 1 she is killed in a plane explosion (or was she? did the bomb go off early? or?) Neal spent much of Season 1 trying to get back to Kate. In Season 2, he is trying to find out who killed her and why. Mozzie is helping him at every turn.

There is great interaction between the characters. It is not a scary show. There is lots of humor and loyalty and developing friendship between Peter and Neal.

Diana [Marsha Thomason] is the assistant to Peter. She is supposedly gay.

Season 3 will air in January. Now where are the secret leaked scenes so we can KNOW that Mozzie is alive. Garson is just terrific in this role. I can't imagine anyone else. That goes for all the other actors and actresses too. What a terrific boon to be cast in this show!

Do you watch the show?

I feel the same way about Mozzie. If he goes the show just won’t be the same. Also, did you notice that the shooter either took something from Mozzie or put something in Mozzie jacket while he pretended to help him.

Yes, I feel what he took was the code which Mozzie had gotten from the Japanese code breaker. I’ve seen some other comments that he was not shot in the heart as there would be more blood.

Thanks for the excellent article on White Collar. I really enjoy this show but I feel that it doesn’t get enough exposure because it isn’t on network televion. I believ that Matt Bomer (Neal Caffrey) really makes this show with his unique acting style. It will be interesting to find out what happens when this season returns with Mozzie. Check out this other great site about the White Collar TV show.
