Still working through my samples (gwp or from friends, not from brands) (and these still from the generous POLer):
The Secret Heroines of the Tsar is available at Lucky Scent $135 for 100 ml or $3 for .7 ml.
Notes
Italian lemon, grapefruit, red apple and melon; jasmine, rose, lily of the valley and magnolia, iris, sandalwood, patchouli, caramel, vanilla, musk, amber
This one starts out fruity and ends up floral. There isn't enough amber or patchouli to even mention.
I am not much into fruits or florals, I'm more into woody or oriental fragrances, so it isn't for me, but it might be perfect for you.
No. 1 by Six Scents is also carried by Lucky Scent
Six Scents - Series One
Curated by Joseph Quartana (Seven New York), Six Scents: Series One, is a collection of scents that were created by six renowned perfumers working with six celebrated designers. These are not mainstream designers – they are all on the cutting edge, each with a unique vision. Each pairing created a fragrance that will be offered in a limited quantity of 2,000 units, with individually numbered, custom packaging. Like the fashions these designers create, these fragrances are not geared for the mass market – each team worked with an artistic concept in mind – not a target demographic. A percent of the net proceeds will go towards awareness and funding for the Designers Against AIDS (DAA), International AIDS Awareness Education Center in Antwerp.Series One
No.1 - Alexandre Herchcovitch & Joachim Correl
No.2 - Bernhard Willhelm & Lucas Sieuzac
No.3 - Cosmic Wonder & Philippe Paparella-Paris
No.4 - Gareth Pugh & Emilie Coppermann
No.5 - Jeremy Scott & Philippe Roques
No.6 - Preen & Mark Buxton Lucky Scent
Notes:
Erogenous Cedar wood – Amber Fond, Lemon, Cassis De Bourgeons, Lime, Green, Apple, Apricot, Jasmine, Tagete, Freesia, Cinnamon, Musk
I thought I would like this one better than I did, because of the cedar. And erogenous to boot, which makes me laugh. Erogenous, seriously? To me, this is more of a masculine scent than a feminine.
Do you wear either of these fragrances?
What do you like or dislike about either of them?
To me, neither one is particularly memorable for or on me, but as I said No. 1 would be better for a man.
