Updated: Now on SALE!!

The Princesses of Venice by Romea D'Ameor is a beautiful fragrance, and so far it is my favorite of the three I have tried up to this point.

This is really a fruity fragrance, but not overly sweet. This is not a high-schooler's fruit fragrance, no, this is quite sophisticated. And if you are the least bit afraid of a melon note (think: Un Jardin Apres La Mousson by Hermes which is unwearable on me) this is not the same note.

Notes: orange, black currant, melon, pineapple, cloves, champaca, orange blossom, jasmine, cassis, sandalwood, raspberry, iris, pistachio

I've been semi-afraid of Iris notes after I overdosed on both Prada's and Guerlain's Iris Ganache, but this is iris the way I like it.

The raspberry is not in-your-face like the note in Givenchy's Hot Couture which smells too strong and artificial on me. This raspberry is a frozen raspberry daiquiri, beckoning from within, hinting of delights.

I wondered all morning if I smelled a whiff of mint in this fragrance. Evidently not, but it is still somewhat green and refreshing -- perhaps it is the pistachio. It is not that sickly sweet treacle which masquerades as perfume.

The sandalwood stays in the background, if apparent at all.

Have you tried this one?
$135 for 100 ml or $3 for .7 ml from Lucky Scent. Lucky you, it is now on sale for $65.

I think I could own this one. I will definitely revisit this one now that it is on sale.
