You might have seen something about this formula in the following articles:
As seen in Town & Country magazine (July 2009 issue, p.42).
As seen in Glamour magazine (June 2009 issue, p183 ).
As seen in O magazine (June 2009 issue, p83).
As seen in Vogue magazine (April 2009 issue, p142).
Lorenz Baumer, a talented jeweler from the Place Vendome in Paris, created the case which resembles a space ship. When the lipstick is removed from the case, a mirror pops open. It comes with a velvet case for your purse that they must give you separately; it is not in the box.
You can see it here. The color shades are not true in this picture so don't try to order based on these colors.
Each lipstick in this line has ruby powder for radiance and color.
They claim lips are defined, smoothed, plumped and hydrated.
I dunno about all that (the plumping especially, though most lippies do a bit of plumping just because they moisturize) but it is a moist formula and certainly nice to use.
Also expensive at $45.
There are 24 colors, with a new one soon to be out, which is gorgeous. I tried the only tester in the store. I'm going to get that one. I think it is color 66. But it was not available for purchase yet, when I was in Vegas.
I ended up with two shades. One I was disappointed in; it feels too pink. (65) The other is perfect. (08) I like the formula. And color 66 is exceptional, a mid range warm red with a bit of bronze to it, is the way I'd describe it.
Color 65with a lot of layering help.
I broke my cardinal rule of no more lip pencils (Rose Indien) plus 65 is more pink than I'd prefer, so I did a bit of doctoring to see how I'd fair. I suspect I could make it redder with a red pencil or browner with a brown pencil. I don't want any more pencils!!
Guerlain 65 on top; Arbonne Whisper on bottom; smooshed; lined with Guerlain Rose Indien; topped with Revlon Play up Pink.
The Guerlain formula is lovely (and I bought a second color later that is more to my liking.)
I will add pictures of the colors alone when I wear them without layering up with anything. Order your lipstick from the Guerlain store at the Palazzo. They will give you great service: Claire, Kylie, or Jorganne. Call (702) 732-7008 or email GuerlainPalazzo.STORE@lvmhuspc.com.
