in Divine, mini review, Peony

Continuing to go through the samples passed to me by a generous POLer.

I have sampled this fragrance before, but it bears re-visiting and thinking of it again.

L ' I N F A N T E is a bouquet of white flowers, freshly gathered: Ylang ylang, chinese jasmine, pivoine, blackcurrant leaves and ivy. As a final hint of sensuality: ambergris and vanilla, musk and Tonka.

White flowers
Generally speaking, white flowers and I do not mix well. Most times, they are not wearable on me.

If, however, white flowers are your favorites, this is definitely one for you to try.

What does this smell like?
These flowers smell genuine. They do smell freshly gathered.

Perhaps what I dislike about many white florals is that they have a synthetic smell to me, and probably they are synthetic.

L'Infante may also be made from various chemical scents, but it smells real.

What does it remind me of?
It reminds me of the garden in my childhood home, where peonies grew in profusion. I get more peony in this than I do ivy, though others have mentioned ivy as predominant on them. As I wear it, the green get more dominant.

What fragrance does it remind me of?
In some ways it reminds me of Pivoine by Yves Rocher. If you are looking for something similar, but not at the same price point, more's the pity, try this. Of the two, I prefer L'Infante for its richness. Pivoine is both lighter and sharper.

Have you tried any of the Divine fragrances?
Which one is your favorite?
