Daisies Never Lie is the second book that I've read by Lynn Byer. I was given an ebook, but it was my choice to review it. Her first was Trouble in Paradise. Both books are self-published, which we may begin to find is the newer 'publishing' model -- after all Konrath has chosen to publish on Kindle, saying he has found that ebooks sell in greater quantities as time passes, compared to physical books which sell the most in the first month. And these books are very well done. There are no obvious glaring mistakes. They have been carefully proofed and the stories are well written. Byer should be justifiably proud!
Daisies Never Lie follows a usual format for romance books. There are the usual misconceptions ... and the usual happy ending ... but how it gets there is half the fun.
Warning: quite a bit about chicken pox ... and a hospitalization at the end. But it never crossed the line where I wished it wasn't part of the story.
I enjoyed this book a lot. It is a romance for adults. I found it totally believable. The love story moves along at a comfortable pace for me, and the sex scenes are well written.
What I liked: the characters and their character development.
Both main characters are overcoming difficulties in their lives. Emily owns a child care facility and was divorced nearly a year before the story opens. Her ex, Steve, would like to have her back, but their problems are still the same. While she realizes the divorce was for the best, it still is a blow in many ways.
Robert was widowed at about the same time, and is now recovering from his loss with his toddler daughter. His daughter comes down with chicken pox in the middle of a demanding work week for him. And the story is off ... his first encounters with Emily in her role at his daughter's school do not show him in the best light, but it develops from there.
And yes, a daisy figures into the (nearly) end.
I hope Byer writes another book soon. I enjoyed both her books, more than the usual romance books. I read both books in eformat; they are both available in paperback also. I give it 4 out of 4.

Thank you so much, Karin, for the glowing review.
I feel honored to have you review my books since I absolutely LOVE your blog and all your reviews. Your blog is one that I check EVERY DAY for all the wonderful information you impart. You blog stimulates all the senses, and I particularly enjoy when you review perfumes, cosmetics, movies … and, of course, books.

Dear Karin,
You are such an interesting person! From Beads to books… Would you like to read my self published books?
I have two of them and they can be gotten inexpensively via Amazon ( used ) if you prefer. The first book has a few typos ( The Perfect Dress ). I go nuts when I see them but the second book is cleaner ( Gorko, Mississippi Mud and Moscow Madness.
How is your daughter? Another interesting person…I forgot to ask you what you thought of the Buenos Aires Airport gift and cosmetic area? Wasn’t it to die for?
Hey, girl, thanks for stopping by. I missed your comment earlier. I appreciate the feedback!
Hi Mary Jane, I wandered in that area of the airport for quite a while just looking. I never did buy anything, how about you, did you buy anything? I’m ready for another trip, preferably a cruise, but I have no idea when it might happen. In my dreams! I sure love the Infinity.
