While trying fragrances at Neiman Marcus, I also tried Atelier's Orange Sanguine Cologne Absolue $145 for 6.7 oz. Cologne Absolue is concentrated at 15%.
Here's the scoop:
A zesty and energizing burst of crushed ripe fruit; plays off sweet blood orange juice against bitter orange peel and sensual notes of geranium. Neiman Marcus

Notes:
• Top notes: blood orange, bitter orange
• Heart notes: jasmine, geranium from South Africa
• Base notes: amber woods, tonka beans, sandalwood
My impression:
This is one I like, though I wish overall that it stayed sweet orange. After a while, the bitterness of the orange peel/geranium comes out. Surprisingly the base notes are not as sweet as they usually are. They are tempered with the bitter orange and geranium.
How long does it last?
It lasts longer than most orange fragrances. I doused myself pretty good, once I knew it was going to be OK on me. The SA sprayed herself up one side and down the other. In the store, I couldn't smell it as strongly as when I walked outside the store, then I felt I had a aura with good sillage. No one mentioned it on me, however, not even when I got in the car. I certainly enjoyed the opening moments.
Who can wear this?
I see it as equally good for a man or a woman. The packaging is not particularly feminine either, so it easily crosses genders. There is some heft to the bottle, while being easy to hold.
How I would wear it?
I would foresee myself re-spraying throughout the day to keep the beginning sweetness going strong. Love that beginning!
The sillage

How does it compare to others with sweet orange?
Compared to L'Artisan Mandrigore, it is more bitter. Mandrigore is greener.
Compared to KeikoMecheri Sanguine: it is less musky.
Compared to L'Occitane Ruban d'Orange: A different orange. RdO starts out less sweet.
Victoria Secret Very Sexy Now: Full of blood orange, but sweeter than Atelier's.
Jean Claude Elena Bigarade Concentree: Love this one, but way too fleeting. They start out similarly, but Atelier's is longer lasting and a little more bitter. For my second spritz this morning of Bigarade (about 5 mins later) I first put on some Mary Kay hand lotion and it is staying a lot better.
Have you tried any of the other Atelier fragrances?
I did not try the other colognes. Maybe the next time. I couldn't get past the orange -- I only wanted to try the orange, and then I only wanted to spritz it heavily to see how it would be on me. I know I usually love sweet orange fragrances, and the search is on for one with some lasting power.

What do you think? It is the SA's favorite of the moment. As I said, she spritzed herself up one side and down the other, including her cleavage. She said she has sold a number of them, and everyone likes the amount of sillage and the lasting power.
