Using Beauté technique
Rim lips with a gloss lighter than the one to be used on the lips; fill in lips with second gloss. I did the reverse: I filled in my lips, then did the rim.

Tropical Pink orchid magenta with deeper bright pink glitter
Rimmed with Pink Bling -- used a lip brush.
I wasn't sure if this gloss would be too light. It was. Next time I'd use a gloss with less contrast.
Using a lip brush
I've used my lip brush more consistently, it seems, in the past three days than in a long time. Since I like this technique so well, I'm going to dedicate one lip brush to doing the rims -- and use another one for lips.
