Only the clear (like DuWop) stops feathering -- and rimming with gloss is a big help too. I've debated about finding a pencil that matches my natural lip color and using it with everything. They can't feather or be waxy or what have you, they have to be really good quality. As I age, my natural lip line is fading and getting blurry, and if I don't use a pencil, my lipstick or gloss application tends to be off because of this. Yes, I use pencils. I’m picky though.
