Leverage, new TV show

We watched the premier of Leverage last night, which was almost commercial free. Starring Timothy Hutton and a group of others, it is similar to Ocean's 11, but as one review said, it was better than the last two Ocean movies.

Timothy Hutton is a good guy with a problem. His son died because the insurance company, for which Hutton had been an investigator, wouldn't pay for his son's treatment, considering it experimental.

He is recruited to be the man with the brains to steal, working with crew members who are all thieves. They steal from rich corporations in order to give justice to the little guys.

His crew members have only worked alone, but they are forced to work together when there is a double cross -- and find they work better that way.

Meantime, their pay comes from a different revenue stream.

And Timothy is the Black Knight/White King.

We gave it a 3 star. Its regular night will be Tuesdays at 10 pm. In some ways it reminds us of Burn Notice, which we are missing! It looks like it will be fun and fast paced, similar to the A-Team or Charlies Angels. Yes, you have to suspend reality, but that's part of what makes it fun.

Did you see it?

How very interesting! Hope we get it here too.
I always loved Timothy Hutton as an actor and feel he didn’t get all the chances he could have, cinematically-speaking. He’s so easy on the eyes too :-)

He’s very good in this series. Some say he is carrying the series. I hope it is a winner and the scripts stay strong.

I really enjoyed it myself. As good as the one announcement said about it rivaling Ocean’s 12 & 13. I hope tonight’s episode is a new one!
