Harry Potter high spirits

in Books, Movies

Well, my College Girl who loves HP in all its forms, has been thinking of getting ready for the movie and next book for at least a year now.

College Girl has gone dressed in a different costume that she has pulled together for each new book for the book party that they have the night the book is released. Heaven forbid if she should re-use a costume.

I've been sworn to secrecy over their costumes. They've gone through several ideas before executing them. But as of last weekend, they are pretty much finished.

This time CG, CG's friend, and one of CG's guy friends, plus the two littles are coordinating their efforts. And they have an idea of which character I could go as, just being myself, LOL, so that might be interesting too.

I'm sure it will be memorable. It's been fun seeing them work together for hours, all ages, executing their designs and getting what they need at several stores and using CG's artistic bent for realizing her idea.

That's all I'm saying about their costumes for now.

They are all eager for the new book, not to mention the next movie, both coming out within days of each other. They know that I will read the ending first, but I promised I won't tell them what it is.

They will go to the nearest bookstore (where we have vouchers for the book), come here, and then I expect the big kids will read all night, and crash all over the house...as they did last time. It's a lot more fun to do it communally.

CG has a lot of HP icons that she uses. I told her if she sent me one, I'd see if I could figure out how to add the image here. She hasn't done it yet.

Meantime CG bought a book, has finished it, and I am now reading it, that we both like. Mugglenet.Com's What Will Happen in Harry Potter 7: Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Falls in Love and How Will the Adventure Finally End Of course, it is anybody's guess, but it is creative to ponder. We'll likely be right on some things and far off on others.
