A friend posted this on another list. It was the first time I’d heard of it. I am touched by it on a variety of levels. There’s something to be said for having a community custom where all who wish are involved.

I wish I had a bell to ring like this. I love the idea of a symbolic way to wipe the slate clean and start fresh.
