FOTD Sheer Cover eyes + Guerlain lips

This was yesterday’s FOTD. A friend gave me more Sheer Cover, including another palette of these eye shadows. I remember how much I loved the look earlier, they are a lovely natural look (the palette has both cool and warm shades.) This is the cool. I wanted to try out the new eye shape again to see how it fared with this palette. I’m not used to such natural looks!

Another 5 min makeup. It was quick and easy and summery. It was a little hard to get the eye shape to define because the colors are so natural.

I used MK mascara and for some reason it drifted. That usually doesn’t happen. It seemed smudgy all day.

What did you do for makeup? Are you finding you want quick and easy for summer?

I promised myself on Sunday that I wouldn’t do anything on Monday as far as running around, because I’m still recovering (ha!) from the long trip, but I ended up getting my errands done for the week. Whoo hooo!

How about you?

Love this look on you… especially the eyes. Very pretty!

If I’m having an “allergy eyes” day, I have started letting my black mascara dry and then applying a coat of clear on top of it to try and seal the color in with a barrier. It seems to help, and that way I don’t have to wear waterproof all the time (seems to cause more lash loss and is harder to remove). I really hate when my mascara smudges or flakes or whatever.

I hear you! I wonder if you’d love the Arbonne 2 step mascara. It is the opposite of using Lancome Cils first (white) then mascara. (Cils is in a wand by itself, not a double sided wand.) First you apply the mascara side, then you apply a clear coat that is supposed to be shiny and protective. I don’t notice that it is shiny, but I like it and it doesn’t smudge. I agree with you on waterproof. I don’t wear it for the same reason. I only would wear it if I were going to swim and wanted to wear mascara.

I think sometimes it is the mascara (not when I use Arbonne) that bothers me, or the mascara in combination with especially sparkly mineral shadows (which I love!) I think a little sparkle (not frost) opens the eye.
