Trust me, I went around looking pretty terrible for part of the day until I decided to finish my makeup with a 5 minute pick up. I finished my eyes and redid my lips.
These were colors chosen in response to a Theme Week at AL. We were to work with colors that don't work for us, as I remember now, writing this addendum March 23.
Copper is not a particularly good color on me, which is why I left it for so long to try. It definitely did not work with the soft lip I had left on me. Bad, bad, bad! So that is why I decided to go with a strong lippie -- and one not in the same color family.
Imagine if you were just looking at my eyes. The shadows just weren't strong enough, and the color didn't pop my brown eyes, not to mention perhaps not the best color to pick with my T.
Eyes AL, for the most part:
Base: Clinique cream, followed by mix of beige sparkle powder
Crease: AL suspecteyes rocks! sonic, light bright orange apricot (doesn't show up against my skin -- might be better as lid color)
Just beneath crease: AL pyro elemental lustre
Outer corner: AL flash elemental lustre
Inner corner: AL delicate copper pure hue
Mascaras: comparing two Clinique; Lancome on the bottom of one eye only; see separate post
Liner, bottom only (forgot to do top, LOL): MAC graphblack in waterline; MAC earthline just outside
Brows: Merle Norman Only Natural Light Brown/Taupe Brow Powder Duet
And here it is full face with the lippie:
NYX Wild Orchid 12
Notice the crisp edge of the lippie here:
DuWop Reverse Lip Liner on the outside edge, a must to stop drift because gloss is wet
I just checked and lippie line is still perfect an hour or so later. This is a must-have product.
Cheeks: AL Candy also not in the color fam of the eyes, but it works.
