Success! I tried the new eye shape today. I didn't forget, even though I went to bed at 4 am because of the Harry Potter movie. I was really happy with how it turned out, and I believe it will become second nature. It's interesting to me that out of all the makeovers I've ever had, this is the only MUA who has ever done this eye shape, and it works for me.

I really sped through this because I slept in some, then sadly had a funeral to attend.

Eye colors:
Base: Nude Frost
Lid colors: Mary Kay light purple (still doesn't show up on me) then mixed on the brush with the deeper purple too -- then it showed up
Adding a touch of Chanel colors from two different quads, all in the purple range. Used mostly for dry lining top and bottom. (Irreels -- grape/pearl/blackberry/iris; Ors Violines -- orchid/marigold/mauve/copper frost -- brighter pallette)
Wetlined bottom: MAC white pencil
Mascara: Stiletto
Brows: Merle Norman powder

Primer: Laura Mercier
Base: Chanel, discontinued -- I think I'm on my last drops!
Rouge under and over my sparkly mix of powder: MAC

Lips: easy, easy -- straight up MAC Via Venetta, a dazzle gloss available only from Nordstroms, limited edition, gorgeous orchid purple gloss on a clear base.

Later in the day I got my hair trimmed again, and it looks so much better! Too bad I didn't take the pictures tonight instead of this morning.

What say you?
