FOTD AL Red Blue Theme Vampira and Swank

The muse hit early this morning and I wanted to be wild and crazy in response to the Primary Theme week at AL — use red, blue, yellow. Why not! I could always wear sunglasses and hide out. But I figured I could tweak it as I went along, if need be.

I played with it as I went, but I had the general idea before I started. It’s kind of an response to yesterday’s super conservative look. I’m more of a gypsy. I’m not wildly conservative; I’m more conservatively wild.

I alternated eyes. Can you see how I wrapped the outer corner color under that eye? so even the lower colors alternate?

Remember that the camera makes the edges more sharply defined than in RL, where they are blended. But it makes it easier to see how I laid out the colors. I don’t think you can see the bright gold glitter in the inner corner. It’s subtle but flashy in RL. I used to do this sort of thing more often.

I figured it might be great. It really looks beautiful. I don’t need sunglasses.

Not the best picture, but you get the idea. Again, the flash wipes out some of the gleam because of the amount of silver in the colors, but in RL it is even.

All Aromaleigh; all applied dry
Blue is Swank
Red is Vampira
Inner corners lots of Dazzle Rocks! glam glitter (gold)
Brows: La Prairie pencil
Mascara: Lancome Fatale upper; Lower: Lancome Definicils sample
Highlight: AL Magnolia, up center of face, love this color!
Cheeks: AL Candy-O (first time I’ve worn it)
Lined lower: Chanel Nocturnes duo blue pencil, no longer made, but my fave
Lips: AL Wallflower (gorgeous color, such a pretty sheen to it) with
Clarins Color Quench Lip Balm 09: purple gloss to cool it up a little

Foundation: Guerlain;
Primer: Guerlain after AL; Guerlain Meteorites Light-Diffusing Primer

my usual glimmer powder mix

I’m not sure I’d wear this to a conservative business meeting, but it sure is fun! And it is surprisingly not disconcerting. You know it’s possible when you’ve used Aromaleigh eye colors. They are simply gorgeous. No matter how you put them together.
