I told Miranda yesterday that she inspired me to use AL mattes again, so here goes from the Carolina Summer collection.

Eyes:
I don't find totally matte very flattering on me. So I had to put a touch of sparkle somewhere.
Base: Nude Frost
Lids: BE Queen Phyllis (had to have some sparkle)
Lids and crease: AL Dune followed by some AL Catteleya (that made it a bit pinker)
Crease and outer corners: AL Tide (what a pretty color!)
At this point everything looked matte, even with the Queen Phyllis, and I still wanted some spark to show.
Drylined top and lower: disintegration rocks! glam glitter (turquoise to be brighter)
Mascara: Arbonne 2 step
Concealer: YSL + Arbonne
Brows: La Prairie
pencil
Made me happy!

All the rest is my usual: Arbonne primer and foundation; Chanel stick rouge under my sparkly mix; Arbonne blush for cheeks and highlight.

Sunscreen is Arbonne spf 30 from the baby line.
I wondered how this would go under makeup. It did perfectly. It wasn't too sheer/oily (like La Prairie is -- I'm using that on my neck) and it didn't roll, like some does under makeup. Arbonne's regular sunscreen line has 15 spf. I'm not sure why that is. Their water resistant has 30 spf. I haven't tried either of those, but I'll tell you 15 spf would not cut it here. I'm using a 70; will go to 85 with my next bottle.

Lips:
a touch of Arbonne Copper (my lips were really tinted pink), then Arbonne On Point prep and plump to bring it pinker because of my shirt

That Dune is sweet! Sometimes I combine it with either Fox or Adobe if I want shimmer (I don’t have the other shadow you mentioned).

I ordered a deep dark brown (MK Cinnabar) for the deepest part of my crease…it should arrive soon. so then I put the AL Dune all over, then AL Chocolat in my crease and blend it upwards, and put the Cinnabar in the outer “v” of my lid and have a really high contrast look. I wear eyeglasses and am terribly myopic, so I have to do a lot of high contrast contouring to keep my eyes from just disappearing!

I hear ya! I don’t have Adobe, but the Pure Hue shades are really beautiful. I’m sure I can find something similar in my stash.

I like MK mineral shadows too. I have cinnabar in the older formula (I think it is the same.)
