Crap magnets

in Just thinking, Relationships

I was talking with a friend today. She mentioned how some people she knows make a big deal out of the smallest inconvenience, and others go through true disasters without anyone being aware of it. Similarly, some continually date the wrong guy for them.

It's hard to smile when you are going through trouble. [I just wrote: growing through trouble. Maybe not a typo.]

I love those who can smile in trouble, who can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. Thomas Paine 1737-1809

I thought of the phrase Are you a crap magnet?

Sadly, some people do seem to draw difficulties into their lives, whether they actually do or not.

But in another sense we are all magnets for stuff we wish we could jetison to one degree or another.

Unless you are a true minimalist, crap multiples...even things you once loved can just seem like stuff sitting around. (Hopefully, we are not talking about relationships.)

If I don't love it, it is going to be gone...

At least that's the plan, and I'm working on it. I am not a minimalist, but I'm trying to incorporate some of it into my life. A little feng shui never hurt anyone.

How about you? Is your stuff multiplying faster than you can put it away?
