"One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chosen again and again; fear must be overcome again and again."
Abraham Maslow 1908-1970, Psychologist
Well, it's almost a truism that some growth is really painful, but I like the option of choosing growth when faced with making a choice.
And courage, well, courage is courage, but foolhardiness is is something else again.
How does one opt for courage, but bypass foolhardiness?
I've been known to go outside my comfort zone on more than one occasion and I've exhibited a lot of courage in my life, but nothing major. OTOH, there are some places in my life where fear would take over if I would let it.
It's a process to always choose growth. It's likely not even possible to always choose growth.
But, yeah, it is a part of me.
