FOTD AL eyes + AL lips

Finally! I'm current -- this is my FOTD today. I wanted to wear the same eye colors as yesterday.

Comparing two lower lash mascaras one is Tarte; the other is Guerlain's Le2.
AL concealer.

Back to trying to use up the discontinued Chanel foundation. Primed with Laura Mercier. My usual sparkly mix of powder, then SCA Hyaluronic as a bronzer.

Blush: AL Dolly

I'm trying uploading directly vs. using Photobucket. The images are smaller. But it is a lot faster for me except for waiting for it to upload into wordpress.

Lips: AL Gala + AL Pinafore (on each lip, then smooshed) + rimmed and topped in center with Beauté Paramour Love this color!

Day 2 into Arbonne:

And we finally have some rain around here -- all the ponds are low. I'm going to enjoy the rain!

FOTD NYX +MAC +Too Faced+

This is the 3rd NYX trio palette in my amazingly cheap NYX haul.

Eyes:
TS 30 Baby Pink, White Pearl, Baby Blue
These are more my colors than yesterday's!
Base: Lancome pink cream
Pink on my lids; Blue in the crease and lined under lower lashes; White on brow bone.
Brows: Prescriptive pencil -- has a super thin lead, easy to use
Lined top: Lancome Blueberry wand
Tightlined Lined lower: Tidal Wave gel liner
Lined top and lower: Prestige Denim pencil
Mascara: Lancome Hypnose on upper; Tarte Bottom up on lower

Primer: Smashbox purple
Foundation: L'oreal N1
Rouge: Chanel stick
Powder: my sparkly mix + BE Mineral Veil as bronzer
Over powder: Benefit Georgia Peach
Blush: MAC Moon River
Concealer: Dior Skinflash

Lips: I liked this really well!
Too Faced Pink Diamond Gloss from their super Vintage sale
Rimmed with: MAC Baby Sparks Dazzler gloss

I was happy with the way this turned out. The color was nice with my denim top. And much more to my taste than yesterday.

FOTD Weekend look Lancome AL BE Beauté

Wow, this sure photographed well! This is my new gauze top. I love the style with cut away sleeves.

Eyes:
Base: Beauticontrol Pink, then my sparkly shadow mix
Crease: AL Grape pure eyes matte -- I forgot about this one and how much I liked it until I spotted it again -- I didn't think it went on as easily as the first time, but I was happy when I finished
Lids: AL Dandelion Satin Petals Frost -- a very soft yellow
Lined top and lower: Clinique Blacker Violet pencil
Mascara upper: Lancome Fatale; Lower: Tarte

Primer:
Foundation: Lancome Minerals and Powder; my sparkly facial mix
Blush: BE Beauty
Highlight: M*A*D Alter Ego -- looks beige but pulls iridescent pink on the skin

Lips: all Beauté
Paramour/Heroine 1/2 and 1/2, rimmed with Allure

FOTD Thursday Chanel eyes +

Chanel Les Quatre eye shadow Sublimes: Marine, Beige Rose, Granite, Clear Blue
I rarely use this set, but I should use it more often. I originally bought it because I didn't have anything in this color family. All my blues were more of a normal blue.

This set leans toward teal. If you make an X, the upper right and lower left are both light shades, though I've never worn them alone, say, for day. Thinking about it, I wonder why, and want to do it sometime soon.

The opposite line, are two darks, very dark and extremely dark. One looks black-blue; the other looks black-black-blue. They would be very dramatic if used for evening -- or even to achieve a goth look.

You can see where I laid the lines. I used the lighter of the two dark blues to dryline the bottom. The darkest to dryline the top.

Arbonne mascara, 2 step. La Prairie brow pencil. Dior skinflash concealer with a touch of Arbonne in the outer corners.

Chanel foundation; my sparkly powder mix, followed by BE mineral veil sort of like a bronzer.

Highlight: Benefit Georgia
Blush: YSL # 19, also used as a bronzer

Lips: NYX Aphrodite + rimmed with Beauté Paramour (and a touch in the center.)

FOTD Meow Lancome Eyes Too Faced gloss

I wanted to do a Take 2 yesterday with darker greys, but everything still looked so good, it didn't need refreshing. I'm not tired of the look yet, so today I re-did it using deeper greys.

Eyes:
Base: Dior light pink cream in wand; then my sparkly mix
Lid: Cat got your tongue? Meow IdealEyes Purrl -- light pink
Outer corners: Lancome Platinum Couture (darker grey in set)
Crease: Vincent Longo Concerto, glittery black-grey wet-dry – love these colors
Brows: La Prairie pencil

Lined upper: Clinique Granite 10 Quick Eyes pencil (med grey)
Then used the powder with it to go over the line.
Lined lower: MAC graphblack in waterline, then earthline outside it -- This time it didn’t look too strong, not like yesterday.
Lined just outside the lower Sephora Flashy Mauve waterproof pencil
Mascara top: Guerlain Maxi-Lash Black
Mascara lower: Stiletto I wanted a spiky look – love this and might start using it everyday.

Primer: I forgot! And it really does make a difference
Foundation: Revlon Vital Radiance Color 10 discontinued, can find on Internet
Concealer: Mary Kay Highlighting Pen Color 2
Color under my sparkly powder mix: Mary Kay cream rouge
Blush over the powder: Meow Lush Blush Hugs and Kitties -- I really like this!

Using Beau Nelson of Beauté's technique highlighting my lips
Too Faced Mermaid for lips, rimmed with Pink Bling

FOTD AL Red Gothic Lolita Shadows + Fyrinnae Lips

Change of pace today! Back to reds, but new ones I've never used before. We'll see if I get any drift/slide today. Sometimes red bothers my lids, esp when it slides.

Sometimes I wonder whether it would be easier to have no choices. It takes me longer to think about what I'd like to do than actually doing it. But last night I thought: Gothic Lolita shadows! Fyrinnae lips! so that made it easier today.

Eyes: All AL, except where noted
Base: Nude Frost, no sparkly mix after
Crease: Strawberry Despair, GL -- wow! this is really pretty -- I think I originally bought it because it looked so great on Tanya in a theme week at AL, but I'm not sure I ever wore it before -- AL describes it

Strawberry Despair: Muted strawberry red pearl with copper sparks. Despair was never so yummy!

Outer Corners and lower drylined: Burnt Roses , GL -- one of my all time fave colors, just a super color

Burnt Roses : Rich chocolatey cherry frost with tiny deep green sparks. Just plain luscious.

Inner Corners:Persephone, Luster -- first time I wore this too, very gorgeous color!

Persephone: Lush bordeaux with a cocoa lowlight and rose highlight.

Brows: Chanel pencil
Mascara: Guerlain, top; Tarte, lower
Concealer: Dior skinflash and around inner corners of eyes

I couldn't figure out what to use for liner or if I should stop where I was, then I remembered I had Black Cherry gel liner. It helps to have the right brush. Since I tried it last, I bought a small slanted eyeliner brush at Ulta. There's no identifier on it to tell you which one. I intentionally tried to smudge it out the way a pencil looks vs. having a hard edged line. Smudging just looks better on me at this stage of life. Anyway, it was perfect, and I loved it, and I might try to use my gel liners more now that I actually like the look of one of them. I did it very lightly along the waterline and tight lined both the top and lower, smudging it.

Sunscreen: Neutragena, not the La Prairie to see if my makeup is less sheer
Primer: Revlon Vital Radiance, cool, discontinued
Foundation: Chanel, discontinued, trying to use this one up
Rouge: Chanel, stick, discontinued
Powder, my sparkly mix, then Signature Club A Hyaluronic
Blush: Lancome Petticoat Pink, along my cheekbones
Lips: Fyrinnae Visual Kei Lip Luster -- my labels are getting all funky -- are your? -- such a pretty color!

Isn't this pretty!

FOTD Chanel Makeover

Wow, I really loved the shape of this eye. I have never had it done like this, and the trick will be if I can copy it.

Everything is Chanel unless noted. We used Sublimage serum and moisturizer and eye cream (over the Arbonne I had used earlier.) This was done at Neiman Marcus.

#16 Fall 2009 shadow -- a quad with soft, medium and dark teals (the dark is shot with sparkle) and soft pink.

Pink done all over lid. Dark teal dry lining the lower lashes. Dark and Medium teal used to define shape and crease. The lightest teal was used in the inner corner. Then some grey over the inner corner to brighten even more.

Mascara: Chanel
Brow: Chanel Blond pencil
Ivory Foundation -- a little dark.
Concealer: Beige 10 (hard to read the writing) also used as shadow base (shadow has creased in one spot hours later)
Lined on top with a liquid wand.
Rosee pressed powder -- what a great color, shot with teeny sparkles -- I'm not sure how it compares with what I have at home. I think it is lighter. Both are pinks; both are Chanel. She also used this all around the outside of my eye and top and cheekbones to highlight.
Blush: Sienna from the Fall colors also.

Lips:
Guerlain #8 + Chanel Rosey pencil + Chanel Sundress lipgloss
This looks nice in RL; looks too made up in the pix; but I still prefer a softer look using all the colors rather than so much product on my lips.

I'm definitely going to keep analyzing this eye today and try to copy it tomorrow. I like the eye a lot.

FOTD Sunday AL Eyes +

I thought I would go for very simple because it is Sunday. You can see how good my skin looks in one day with Arbonne. I'm not sure I look this pale in RL, compared to my pictures today, but you can see how white around my face reflects up making me paler. I do love this shirt, however. It is bright white. I generally never wear white around my face. But then most whites have a bit of color in them.

Eyes:
This is as near to a perfect neutral look as I could ever get. I need a pop of color. I could envision wearing this on a trip for two weeks, though I know me well enough to know I'd wish I had something else along too!
Crease: AL Burnt Roses -- love this color
Lids and dry lined lower: AL Ocean Rain
Tight lined top and wet lined lower: MAC graphblack, also earthline under on lower eye
Mascara: top, Guerlain; lower, Guerlain Le2
Brows: La Prairie pencil
Concealer: Dior skinflash

Primer: Sheer Cover
Foundation: Lancome minerals + Lancome mineral powder + my sparkly mix
Blush: Meow Masterpiece Water Lilies, then Lancome Petticoat Pink as it wasn't strong enough

Lips: BE Lip Guard, Bare Beach
Very pretty color, feels great on the lips, very moisturizing.

FOTD Chanel Collection Essentielle Lumiere Naturelle

This palette is similar to Lumiere Tendresse only it is more brown. I normally don't reach for it because it looks too brown to me, but then this morning the blush surprised me because it looks peach on. It has quite a bit of shimmer in it. It goes to show I should wear it more often to be more familiar with it.

In this palette, the right side has darker colors; the left has lighter. The brown in the left looks quite similar to the brown in LT.

I'm not real crazy about how much red pulls in the brown. I prefer a more taupe brown, the way it shows on the eye to your left.

I worked with the right side of the palette with the exception of using a bit of the shimmery gloss from the left.

Eyes:
Base: Trish McEvoy Eye Base Essentials -- very light beige, followed by my shadow mix
Lids: Peach
Crease and outer edges: Medium Brown
Brows: La Prairie pencil
Mascara: Guerlain Le 2 Black
Lined upper with MAC graphblack
Lined lower with MAC graphblack, followed by earthline below that
Drylined top and lower with medium brown from the palette.

Face:
Primer: Avon Magix
Foundation: Revlon Age Defying Spa Fair (free during the rebate at Walgreens)
The brush applicator is very nice. I use my fingers to blend. It can be closed off.
Powder: my sparkly mix followed by Chanel Roselight
Concealer: Mary Kay #2
Blush: from palette

Lips:
I notice the longer this is on, the better it looks. It needs to meld, evidently.
Mostly from right side of the palette, with some of the left gloss which is shimmery over the right gloss, which is not.

Sally Hansen invisible liner on the outside (on sale this week at CVS.) Works good!

It looks striking, as most Chanel does, when it is done, but while I am doing it, I am questioning why I chose to use it! I need to remember that with these palettes.

Today I was busy sorting and organizing. I only did my makeup about 5 mins ago. The theme makeup this week at AL is to use Snapdragon (beautiful blue pink)(I'm not sure I've ever used this before) with Aqua Nightmare (one of my favorite colors.)

If you can't have fun with makeup, when can you?! I got the idea to reverse my eyes, sort of like combining all my posts from last week. It looked strange at first, but I figured my liner would tie it all together. I am really happy with it now.

Eyes: all Aromaleigh unless noted, in order of application
Base: Nude Frost
Crease: Lagoon matte
Outer corner of one eye and inner corner of the other (and reverse drylined on bottom): Snapdragon, then vice versa for Aqua Nightmare
Tight lined top and wet lined lower: Peacock gel liner -- using back end of brush only.
Inner corners: Snapdragon
Drylined top only: Moonagedaydream
Brows: Merle Norman powder
Mascara, top: Guerlain; lower: Tarte
Concealer: Mary Kay

Sunscreen: La Prairie
Primer: Avon Magix
Foundation: Chanel, discontinued
Rouge under powder: Revlon , cream
Powder: My sparkly mix, then SCA Hyaluronic with stiff Guerlain brush
Blush over powder: EL Pinkshimmer, then NARS Riviera as it didn't have enough color

Lips: AL Karma on one lip; Gala on the other; smooshed; rimmed with Beauté Allure
