I felt like bright turquoise today, and that made me think immediately of the colors that Aromaleigh has.

Drylined upper and lower: moonagedaydream, rocks! sonic eyes

Brows: Clinique soft blonde pencil
Mascara: Guerlain Le2 (double sided with small brush for lower lashes)

Foundation: Lancome minerals — still trying to figure out how — and how much — to use; see how funky my nose looks here? I saw it in sunlight and took care of it. Generally I leave everything off my nose for this reason.
Powder: Lancome minerals
Highlight: AL magnolia blossom
Blush: AL english rose (a powder, not a blush, that didn’t show up, so used it across my face, lightly)
Blush: Meow Masterpiece Water Lilies

Lips:
NYX Lips Hebe — this one doesn’t migrate. It’s got a lovely sheen to it, doesn’t feel slippery — and it doesn’t move into liplines around the mouth.

My take: this was a very pretty color and not one I would have bought if it weren’t in the package. So getting the package gives new colors to try. I simply reapplied this one throughout the day. If you notice, it seems to separate at the lines, but smooshing it smooths it down again. I’m not sure why it does that. It has a slight taste and smell that is not objectionable.

I thought this was a soft, pretty look. It’s not a look I wear very often, but it bears repeating. It was quite nice.

I did this look yesterday, but I didn’t have time to post it. I was very pleased with how it turned out and felt I looked great all day. All my pictures turned out well too, so it is difficult to pick the ones to show! I have no idea what I’m going to do with my eyes yet for today.

Eyes:
Brand New Mary Kay Spring 2009 Luminous Color Blue, Brown, Green in single square pan $15 This isn’t even in their online catalog yet!

Lined eyes:
Turquoise Blue as bright liner on top and outside of the MAC pencils on the bottom
Bottom Lined: MAC graphblack on waterline; earthline below that
Top lined at edge of waterline from underneath Sephora bright turquoise waterproof flashy liner pencil

Mascara: Stiletto on top; Lancome on bottom.

Brows: Merle Norman powder. You can see how well it covers. It’s a great shade!

Lips: NYX Round Gloss Queen of Africa

Blush:
I tried a really fun thing for the first time. I have a multitude of lip pencils that I rarely use. I decided to take one of them and use it as a blush. I used Jordana Magenta. This is a very inexpensive pencil I bought at the drug store several years ago. I just don’t wear such strong magentas as lippies for the most part any more, so it sits unused.

Technique: I drew a fairly good sized swatch on the end of my index finger. I added one tiny drop of moisturizer and smooshed it together with my other index finger. I then applied this on my cheek bones.

I love the color and will definitely do this again and with other colors.

The lips are a match for my shirt, only deeper, not as red as they show up with flash.

I’ve got a lot to share tonight, so I started earlier to get a head start on it.

I disliked this look so much yesterday and felt so blah, that I didn’t want to share some of what I did. OTOH, I looked at the picture today and I wondered what it was I didn’t like. Maybe it’s the color on this computer screen, it looks bad again, LOL, but looked good on my desktop.

And, of course, today I colored my hair and that takes the blahs away too.

Here’s the picture again:

Foundation: Chanel, discontinued — I didn’t even like this!
Rouge: Signature Club A Lift and Fill Cheek and Eye — this is way too dark/beigy on me, so I mixed it with Jordana Magenta — still beigy — still yuck! LOL
Powder: my sparkly mix
Highlight: AL luminary, cheek glisten, a kind of soft brown/taupe

I’ve been thinking my foundation has looked really sheer lately. I finally figured it out. I’m using a different suncreen.

Instead of my Neutrogena, I’m using up an uber expensive one from La Prairie. This is like adding another layer of moisturizer.

I just figured it would be one of the items I try to use up, then not buy again. Normally I’d use this without foundation, but it is so rare for me to go into the sun and even rarer to go without foundation, that I’d never use it, if I didn’t use it like this. So now, I’m being very careful to either use a good primer (like the Avon one that is matte — to take away some of the sheerness/shininess) or be super careful not to use too much of it.

Sorry that I’m late getting this posted! Yesterday was a busy day!

Eyes: Fyrinnae Fujiro in crease; Optimism on lid Gorgeous colors!
I wanted to try Fyrinnae again before I forgot how to apply it (pat, not swipe.) (Make sure brush has no black left in it, which I remembered to check.) (I have brushes dedicated to light or dark colors, so I don’t have to worry about getting a dark shade mixed in with a light one.) You can see they are not exact matches. It drives me nuts trying to get them even. I finally gave up. I figured, no one looks at my eyes that closely, as I am blinking vs. letting someone really look at them. LOL!

I’m still working with copper colors to see how I can wear them successfully. I was really happy with the pop of red today! I didn’t get the idea until late in the afternoon.

The flash makes this look much more shimmery than it is in RL. The red pops nicely. It looks more like the second picture.

Eyes:
AL Bette Noir collection
Crease: Bette
Outer corner and worked into crease: Solange
Inner corner: Lisette to pop the copper. Dry Lined top and outside of pencil liner on the bottom with the same color, then used a damp brush over the bottom line to see if the color changed.
Mascara: Lancome Cils primer on top — it worked good today. Generally, while it looks good, I’m not enamored with it. It’s hard to see in white, and if it isn’t done right, it looks clumped.
Lined lower: Mac blackgraph in wetline and earthline below it.
Top: Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara; bottom Lancome.
Brows: Merle Norman powder

Lips: NYX Goddess of the Night African Queen used with DuWop reverse liner.
Blush: Lip Pencil Jordana Magenta with one drop of moisturizer
