A knit hat to fall in love with

This knits up quickly, which is an advantage.
Chenille tends to ravel. Directions say to remove the yarn down to the thread, then knot the thread.

It takes 1 skein to make an adult hat. The only thing I changed: I worked with circular needles so there wouldn't be a back seam. Then I could knit every row vs. purling every other row in stockinette stitch. At the top, I fudged with the needles so they would be similar to using 4 needles to knit socks.

7mm needles, 8 stitches and 15 rows = 4 inch.

I've made this hat in several colors, and I've made it for my kids. Pale pink for one girl; pale yellow for the other. When making it for children, make it shorter. I can't remember now if I changed the needle size or not.

This even got Book Girl to knit her own. It turned out great. I forgot I'd shown her how to knit years ago.

Do not change the yarn.
Sirdar Wow is what makes the hat have the right shape.
