Life has been so busy lately with extra things on top of regular things that my reading has gone somewhat by the wayside.
I love to read when there is something interesting to read! All of a sudden interesting books are falling out of the woodwork, and I haven't finished the ones I've started yet. That's usually the way. It is either feast or famine.
College Girl brought home a college library book for a report she had to make. The pictures were great! I think I'm going to buy it. Le Notre's Gardens
A couple of his other books look equally good, but I haven't seen them: Night Work and Retrospective Two
.
Meantime, I read about Kabul Beauty School: An American Woman Goes Behind the Veil. All the reviews are solid. I'm always on the lookout for interesting women stories, and she seems more interesting than many.
This one sounded great too: The Wild Trees: A Story of Passion and Daring.
You can read articles about both here and here.
I heard about both of these last books from CSMonitor Books. I'm not sure how you sign up for it, but you get it into your email box. Play around at the site and you'll likely find it.
Outside of the money I could spend if I bought the books vs. asking the library for them, is finding the space to put one more book in my house. Or one more of anything!
But I have always loved to read when there is something of interest. That's seems the more relaxing right now of a lot of my choices.
What are you reading?
