Arbonne’s eye sets
Arbonne has two eye looks that they recommend in sets. To tell you the truth, until I saw The Audrey Eye Look in the the Travel Palette Shadow Case [the colors shown in this link are not the eye sets] and on Shari, I wasn’t convinced they would work for me, but I loved the look especially of The Smokey Eye Look on the model in the catalog. Honestly, the pictures in the catalog of the products do not do justice to the look in the case and how the colors work together.
Here is a picture of Smokey Eyes. I think this look is especially pretty. I tried to imagine it on my brown eyes minus the red hair. And, of course, I’d like to look like the model! She reminds me of Amy Adams. To look at Inkling in the catalog, it looks like very, very dark almost black navy. But in RL it is not nearly that dark. It is a color that I would enjoy wearing as it has some vibrancy to it.
And here is The Audrey Eye Look that Shari was wearing yesterday, when she came to Book Girl’s Arbonne party. Wow! it was gorgeous, neutral, and rich looking. She had added in the case the two recommended blushes: Promise (I have that one, it is softly pink) and Savvy (softly apricot.) Also, she added two more recommended colors (these are fairly new colors): Illume (shimmery white) and Mystery (very dark black.) That filled up the shadow case. Seen in the case, it is just super pretty.
Here’s what Arbonne says about their shadows:
… pressed eye shadow in a range of 34 moisturizing shades that won’t flake or smudge
which is important to know when working with as dark a color as Mystery, and it becomes doubly important when working with another brand, as I did today, then had to put up with smudging! That is definitely a reason to buy an Arbonne color of something you think you already have.
Anyway, we had a blast, and Joann and I both tried the Audrey Eye Look which Shari brought with her. I put mine over the top of what I already had on, which was very neutral, and it still lasted well. I’d love to try it alone, which I will when my next order comes in. I’m definitely going to get this color combo. And I regret to say I forgot to take a picture. I really liked Savvy Blush on me. It is a perfect apricot shade. I only have my earlier fotd, which I haven’t posted yet.
Here’s Joann after the Audrey Eye look. She is wearing Nectar lipstick; Savvy blush;FYI Light Tinted Moisturizer. She’s been using RE9 for about 2-3 weeks now and her skin is feeling much more hydrated. There are also nice changes in the appearance of the surface of her skin. We have some before and after pix that I might post if I have some time.
Caution: if you are looking at the info in the paper catalog, they have reversed the product info on liner between the two looks. Smokey Eyes uses eye pencil. Audrey Eyes uses liquid liner.
Later the girls had a mask party. They decided to try Arbonne Sea Mud Face and Body Mask $45.
The detoxifying actions of sea mud and bentonite clay help draw out impurities as they absorb excess oil from the skin. I loved that mud mask. It was great!
There was a little burning sensation (normal!) in the areas that needed to see the most work. That was right around my nose (no more oily skin!). When I washed it off my skin was clear (not red as you might think with the burning sensation) and fresh and clean.
My friend noticed an immediate difference in the feel of her skin and that her inflammation had decreased significantly by the next morning.
I can’t wait to try this out all over my body and not just my face!
It smelled fab!
