Bedlam Revisited by Jonathan Keller

There is an excellent article by JK in the WSJ where he details the results of letting the mentally ill be responsible for their own treatments (which doesn’t work) with responsible, humane institutionalism. He is speaking in regards to Virginia Tech.

The article is well worth reading.
