I'm betting what you buy is less expensive than Awake, so it would be a really good resource.

You look great, for sure! What serum do you use? Might be folks with oily skin would like to know.

I like the Awake vitamin C for that reason, because it is a powder that liquifies when you put it on your skin. I think it stays potent that way too. Plus you can add more, if you feel like you want to. I put it in the palm of my hand and apply with my other hand. It liquifies as I put my finger in it.

Thanks for being here!

People tell me I look at least 10 years younger than I am. I agree with you: prevent and maintain. But there's another ingredient in the equation -- genetics. My mother had gorgeous skin -- and she never did anything and still looked gorgeous until she got cancer; now the cancer is gone and she's taking lots of flaxseed oil and fish oils and her skin is gorgeous again -- and she's 73.

I have been wearing sunscreen religiously since I was 27 -- every day, rain or shine. I have tried them all, but keep going back to the cheapo Ocean Potion for faces b/c it's got a high percentage of zinc and just feels good on my skin.

I use a serum with vit C that I add myself -- powdered stuff from the Vitamin shoppe -- since Vit C degrades quickly in solution, adding it as a powder to my serum right before applying means that it's more potent.

Then I use a light moisturizer in the winter. I have oily skin, so in the summer I don't need the moisturizer; the serum is enough.

Then sunscreen. Every day. Rain or shine.

I also take supplements: fish oil, flaxseed, vit C. I notice a difference when I go on vacation on don't take them.... they're really supposed to help my arthritis, but they help my skin, too.

So that's what works for me: Thanks, Mom!!!
