A port in the storm

Still thinking about ports in the storm here...

I have a friend who has offered me a port in the storm at various times through the years. I've never had to take her up on it, but the offers were always appreciated. She knows who she is and that I appreciate her.

And once, we did evacuate during a hurricane to another friends' where it would be safer.

I think most of us would rather be the one offering the port than going to one. But perhaps during a lifetime we will have the opportunity to be both. Kind of like Pay it Forward.

Even a listening, sympathetic ear can be a port.

May you be a port, and if you need one, may you find one.
