Nancy Drew

This was a very cute movie. If you’ve ever read ND, don’t miss it.

Emma Roberts is perfect as Nancy. She is beautiful; you just don’t want to stop watching her. And she has the innocence of ND, sorely lacking in some of the stars that used to exude it. Really, the casting was wonderful. We loved Ned and her father and the caregiver and the other odd characters that pop in and out.

The little boy got on our nerves, but he was probably well-cast; we could have done with less of him. I keep seeing him in my mind’s eye as a 55 year old man with the same mannerisms. I wonder if he will be taller then.

We all loved Nancy’s clothes. College Girl wants them all. They have been updated enough to look modern.

All the costumes were great.

Bruce Willis has a cameo. He has such a droll sense of humor, loved it.

We all enjoyed it from adult down to 9 years old. Last night I saw a woman entering the bookstore with her two young girls, on a hunt for ND books. They had just come out of the movie and loved it.

It is a bit scary, so consider that if you are taking young kids.
