College Girl just learned that one of her good friends died in an accident that also involved his brother and his girlfriend, both of whom are in intensive care. They are brothers of another good friend who is coming back into the country from the college where he is in medical school.
The friends are rallying around each other and their friend.
At times like this I wish we had foresight and at the same time I’m glad we do not, if we cannot affect a change in the outcome.
My heart goes out to the families. We grieve with them and pray for the recovery of the two in hospital.
Hug your children. Tell those you love what they mean to you. Make every moment count.
I do believe that life is eternal, and we will see each other again more fully. I take comfort in that. There are times it doesn’t seem enough.
