A friend of mine wrote the following about her week last week, and I could identify with her:
I have had a very disconcerting and busy week. I had one of those weeks that seem to wind up more like a train crash than a life, if you know what I mean. I was poking along on Monday and Tuesday, picked up speed on Wednesday, lost control on Thursday, took the turns too fast on Friday morning and wound up crashing into a wall on Friday night. -c
My week seems like it could go this way, but I’m trying to stay in the now. It’s too much to think too far forward. I’m doing what needs to be done day by day or moment by moment, knowing that I have enough time/knowlege/well-being/happiness/…
I’m deliberately trying to slow my week down, because there are unexpected things that must be done in addition to all the regular things, by finding the good in moments and not rushing around while accomplishing very little. I’m just pluggin’ away. This morning I managed to criss cross the county and go to another county with errands falling into place and no frustrations. That is something to be grateful for, and I am.
In the midst of all this there are some good things I’m going to try to ease into the week, if it’s at all doable. Last week’s guitar concert is still blessing me this week. It’s there in the background through all I’m doing this week. And I’m so glad I did it and have it under my belt to help this week.
How do you find your way through a busy week?
Karin
