Waiting for spring in Michigan

I remember waiting for spring in Michigan. We’d get a bit of warm weather and think winter was over, but there were always a few surprises.

I got an email from a friend:

You were right, Karin! You said winter would come back! Tuesday, it was 70 then last night we got 2″ of snow! Back in the 20’s at night. Don’t you really miss Michigan? But, ahh! Am straining and looking closely to see that first little tiny green leaf on a tree! Diane

It is worth waiting for! Spring in Michigan is just too beautiful for words…and it’s coming!

I used to get to Michigan in the spring, but now it looks like it will be fall. I loved seeing the forsythia, tulips, crocuses, daffodils…even some years there were lilacs. I miss that here. Of course, fall will have its own beauty too, with the changing leaves.
