Serendipitous moments

Yesterday college girl and I went to a nearby city to have lunch, window shop, make a couple of exchanges and just have a quiet time together. We had arranged not to have to pick up the littles, so we had extra time. She even bought a book to read when she was tired of wandering.

It always feels like an effort to go. The traffic is heavy. Do I really need to go? Can I go another time? Would I feel more like it then than I do now?

But we decided it might be fun.

I was able to have something repaired because the one who could repair it ‘happened’ to be in that day. (I didn’t realize anyone was ever there. I thought it would have to be sent out or have it done locally.) Of course, I didn’t know it was even possible, so when I inquired, the only reason I could have it done was because we weren’t pressed for time because it took an hour. (If I had known, I could have had it done while we had lunch.)

It was one of those things that likely only happened because the universe aligned in our favor. It’s always so nice when that happens. Our other choice of days to go was Friday, or not at all, and I asked if the person would have worked on Friday. I never did get an answer on that one. It didn’t really matter as it all worked perfectly.

Don’t you just love it when that happens!
